Work on the new quarter, comprising three modern office and commercial buildings, is currently at various advanced stages. Around 95 per cent of the windows have been fitted in all three buildings, and work on the façades is in full swing. At the same time, work on the Outdoor facilities has begun. Furthermore, the lifts in all buildings have been installed in their rough form, and work on the roofs is also progressing.

Focus on the interior construction of the hotel building

The focus is currently on the interior construction of Building C, where a 102-room B&B Hotel is being created. The interior construction work is tightly scheduled, so that once the plastering work is complete, the team will carry out drywall, screed and building trades work in parallel. To ensure construction progress continued even during the winter months, the interior spaces were heated selectively. This has allowed the fit-out to continue without interruption.

An important milestone is in sight: the handover of the hotel building to the operator on schedule for furnishing. This also means the timetable for the overall completion of the Stadttor in autumn 2026 remains on track.

Well-coordinated team manages the construction process

A team of between 40 and 50 staff are on site every day. Close coordination with the developers, the Porta founding families Fahrenkamp and Gärtner, takes place during regular construction meetings.

The new Stadttor Gütersloh comprises three commercial and office buildings with a total gross floor area of just under 9,000 square metres. Alongside the hotel, a gym as well as spaces for restaurants and offices are being built. Despite challenging façade work and a tight schedule for the interior construction, the project team is looking forward to the coming months with confidence. The next steps are the completion of the interiors and the Outdoor facilities.
