PORR Spezialtiefbau GmbH has been awarded the SAFETY AWARD special civil engineering 2026 in bronze. This industry award, presented by the Federal Specialist Division for Special Civil Engineering within the German Construction Industry Association, recognises companies that consistently promote health and safety at work and integrate safety into their day-to-day operations in a sustainable manner.

(v.l.n.r.) Karsten Lühmann (Vorsitzender BFA Spezialtiefbau), Markus Neu (ZÜBLIN), Manuel Stelte (Keller Grundbau), Dietmar Seitz (BAUER), Christian Rinke (PORR), Volker Sinnhuber (BG Bau).

Safety is an essential part of construction projects. In special civil engineering, where complex processes are carried out under challenging conditions, the protection of employees is of particular importance. The award recognises the company’s commitment to health and safety and accident prevention.

“The award is an appreciation of the daily commitment of our employees on construction sites and in technical departments. Health and safety is not achieved through individual measures, but through consistent action, mutual vigilance and a safety culture that is put into practice,” says Christian Rinke, Managing Director of PORR special civil engineering.

The SAFETY AWARD for special civil engineering is presented annually and honours companies that demonstrate a particular commitment to safe working practices. Following last year’s award, PORR special civil engineering is once again among the industry’s honoured companies.

“Safety is not a one-off project, but an ongoing process. Our aim is to create safe working conditions and to further strengthen awareness of health and safety every day,” says Christian Rinke.
