Peter Klepin began his professional career in 1983 as an apprentice carpenter at our predecessor company Bilfinger + Berger in Kaiserslautern. He is currently a master carpenter and site foreman in the Kindsbach office, where he is responsible for the US business at Ramstein Airbase and the surrounding area. At the beginning of September, he was surprised by the entire BBGS management team, consisting of Andreas Ehret, Dominik Lembert and Christian Schumacher, with a delicious suckling pig dinner on the construction site. Together with his colleagues, they thanked him for his loyalty to BBGS and 40 years of tireless service.

The well-wishers were unanimous: Peter Klepin has always been an employee who has internalised the BBGS corporate values. He exemplifies how to work together, how to convince with reliability, passion and pioneering spirit, and how to show appreciation to others. He passes on his know-how to the next generation, making him an extremely important constant in the team. With him and his knowledge, BBGS has safely and successfully realised many challenging projects. 40 years of service is something very special and we are proud to have Peter Klepin among us.

Peter Klepin's professional development at BBGS

After successfully passing his examination as a carpenter's assistant, Peter Klepin worked mainly as a formwork carpenter for concrete structures from 1986. In 1993, after receiving his master carpenter's certificate, he was promoted to foreman and gradually took on smaller site management and leadership tasks.

His appointment as a safety officer in 1995 contributed significantly to his promotion to foreman. He regularly deepens his knowledge in further training, especially in the area of American occupational safety regulations (‘OSHA’) for our US customers. Since he is knowledgeable in handling hazardous materials containing asbestos, he is assigned many special jobs at Ramstein Airbase.

Peter Klepin spent his youth in the United States and speaks English fluently. He knows the Ramstein Air Base airfield like the back of his hand and has built up a very good relationship with our client over the years. He now supervises a large number of BBGS projects in this area.
