The PORR cyclists are back in action.
Kaiserslautern City Cycling 2026

Kaiserslautern,

Whether on their way to the office, in their free time or on group rides: the Government Services PORRadler cycling team have once again demonstrated in 2026 how sustainable mobility and team spirit go hand in hand.

From 20 May to 9 June, the team took part in the Kaiserslautern City Cycling campaign, diligently clocking up kilometres for climate protection. The aim of the campaign is to make as many journeys as possible by bike rather than by car, thereby actively helping to reduce CO₂ emissions.

For the participants, it wasn’t just about the environment. Many reported, even after just a short time, the positive effects of cycling in their everyday lives: more exercise, less stress and a flexible alternative for daily travel.

The initiative was organised by Elke Kleres, who is delighted with the great response: “We were among the top 20 out of a total of 119 teams from Kaiserslautern. That’s motivating and shows what we can achieve together.”
This team spirit was particularly evident during two group cycle rides, for which colleagues got together on Fridays. Together, the team covered more than 2,300 kilometres. Afterwards, they celebrated their sporting achievements with a cosy get-together in a Palatinate beer garden and were already making plans for next year.

Because one thing is certain: when City Cycling 2027 kicks off, the POR cyclists will be taking part again. Working together to promote sustainability, health and strong team spirit.
