Construction of the new Salzbachtal Bridge

Between the Taunus and the Rhine, the Salzbachtal Bridge spans the Salzbach valley as part of the A66 motorway. The route connects Wiesbaden with the Rhine-Main area and is one of the region’s major transport arteries. After decades of use, the existing bridge was replaced by a new structure. The PORR / Plauen Stahl Technologie GmbH (PST) consortium was commissioned to carry out the project. The foundation works were carried out by PORR special civil engineering.
