Kita Baakenhafen: Special civil engineering work safely completed - structural engineering started

On behalf of SterniPark GmbH, PORR Hochbau Region Nord is acting as general contractor for the construction of a day care centre and school campus with a harbour view in the Baakenhafen district. The low-noise and vibration-free deep foundation with 71 partial displacement bored piles was safely realised by our subsidiary Stump-Franki Spezialtiefbau last year. The crane erection in mid-April 2023 marked the start of the structural engineering work.

In the next steps, the reinforcement for the floor in the second basement was installed and the concreting of the first 240 m3 was carried out. Since May, the construction of the outer walls has been following. The day care centre will later extend over 8 floors. In addition to a technical school, a parents' café and a counselling centre for families, the day care centre will have a teaching swimming pool on the terp floor.

All services from a single source - this is particularly important for the client. PORR convinced with its wide range of services and individual construction solutions to realise the facility economically and safely according to the requirements for function and design.
