PORR special civil engineering receives Klemm KR 806-3GS drilling rig

The symbolic handover of the keys for the new universal and anchor drilling rig in April 2024 was a special moment for the long-standing business partners - the new addition was actually the 75th Klemm drilling rig to be handed over to PORR for the German market.
At PORR, off-road construction equipment is procured company-wide via PORR Equipment Services. One of the main foundation works is the goal of standardising the variety of makes and types in the fleet. This increases efficiency and sustainability on the construction site and deliberately reducesCO2 emissions. There is a must criterion for purchasing: the selection of the best low-emission engines available on the market.
The new KR 806-3GS universal and anchor drilling rig for PORR special civil engineering also meets these criteria. The compact, powerful machine from Klemm Bohrtechnik is primarily used for anchor drilling using the double-headed overburden drilling method and is particularly suitable for challenging drill holes with large diameters and difficult ground formations.
With EU Stage V, EPA Tier 4f emissions standards, it is low-emission, runs on biodegradable hydraulic oil and extends the oil service life thanks to off-line filtration. Last but not least, the automatic adjustment of power to the drilling situation reduces fuel consumption. The fact that the operating logic and machine concept are familiar to both machine operators and fitters means that the machine can be quickly integrated into existing work processes as well as ensuring good machine availability. This leads to reduced costs for stocking spare and wear parts.
