Rothof viaduct: After safe transverse shifting bridge successfully put into operation

It was a spectacular act that required the utmost concentration, the know-how of expert teamwork and accurate preparation by PORR Ingenieurbaus: After the replacement construction of the Rothof viaduct on the BAB 7, the 410-metre long carriageway towards Fulda was safely moved into the correct final position in June by means of a transverse shift.
In the meantime, the roadway of the new bridge has been successfully put into operation: In the night from 6 to 7 September, traffic was rerouted onto the displaced bridge. The remaining work, such as the demolition of the temporary piers, is to be completed by December. Then the complete handover to the client, the Northern Bavaria branch of the Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government, will take place.
