U5 Europaviertel: Drone flight over Europa-Allee in Frankfurt

As part of the U5 light rail extension to the Europaviertel in Frankfurt a.M., another milestone has been reached in Europa-Allee: the tunnel portal as a so-called ramp collar has been completed.
From here, the underground will in future be led from the underground to the surface and continue above ground. The special feature: The architecturally sophisticated and elaborate, three-dimensionally curved ramp collar, which gives the structure an artistic appearance. The construction project is being realised by the U5 Europaviertel consortium, consisting of our structural engineering and tunnelling divisions and our subsidiary company Stump-Franki specialist civil engineering.
Join us on a drone flight over the now switched-off ramp collar. The ramp collar is followed by the construction pits for the open cut tunnel, which merges into the closed cut tunnel after approx. 180 metres.
