A residential quarter with a high quality of life

Living in the park instead of living by the park

Munich’s Westpark was created in 1983 within the framework of the International Horticultural Exhibition. The urban park‘s barbecue areas, play areas and sports facilities, floating stage and multiple beer gardens today make it one of Munich‘s most popular local recreation areas. The 3-hectare urban quarter “Am Westpark”, which was developed on the former ADAC site at the eastern edge of the park, continues thie park ambience with green areas, winding paths and convivial meeting areas for the community of tenants.

It is directly connected to the Westpark via the “Wiesental”, increasing the area of the park by a further 5,000 square metres.

Modern comfort in 1- to 5-room apartments

Although the residential quarter has no private gardens, each apartment is equipped with either a terrace, loggia or balcony. A total of 35 pieces of play equipment can be found across the site and vehicle access is only permitted in exceptional circumstances, so the residential quarter is also a children’s paradise. The apartments have parquetry flooring in the living rooms and bedrooms, while large, triple-glazed window fronts provid daylight and also reduce energy costs. The ventilation system with heat recovery also saves on heating costs and in addition creates a pleasant indoor climate.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
