Rehabilitation of the B465 between Gutenberg and Oberlenningen
The project included replacing the asphalt binder and surface courses, as well as constructing approximately 2 kilometres of monolithic curb gutter made of in-situ concrete using a slipform paver. In addition, the road drainage was renewed in some areas and now represents a significant improvement.
Hand in hand to a quick project completion
The implementation planning and the necessary as-built survey were carried out by the surveying department of A. WAGGERSHAUSER STRASSENBAU GmbH + Co. KG. In order to avoid road closures during the as-built survey, drones were used to collect all the necessary data.
The asphalt was produced by Waggershauser in Kirchheim/Teck. Almost completely CO2-neutral production was possible in the company's own asphalt mixing plant. Thanks to a specially procured intermediate storage facility, the number of necessary transport movements was significantly reduced, which considerably minimised the impact on the neighbouring communities.
The entire project was carried out in accordance with the QSBW 4.0 standard, which enabled early optimisation of the logistics and thus created significant added value for the customer in terms of quality. The work was carried out in very short time frames and in compliance with high quality standards. In order to minimise traffic restrictions, the first three construction phases were implemented during the summer holidays and were opened to traffic punctually at the end of the holidays. The rehabilitation of the through road through Gutenberg followed in a further four phases.
