Extension Nordson, Munster

In a strong joint venture, PORR erected the new construction of two production halls and a two-storey administration building. The tenant, Nordson, is a mechanical engineering company that essentially manufactures high-quality plastics processing components such as granulating and melt feeding systems. This extensive new building investment had become necessary because several Nordson locations scattered around Münster were to be brought together at Hessenweg, where they would then provide space for a total of 300 employees.
PORR carried out the earthworks, constructed the turnkey administration building, supplied the complete TGA equipment and turnkey office fittings for the two new halls and one existing hall, and also constructed the outdoor facilities, with PORR Verkehrswegebau GmbH working in close cooperation to carry out the asphalt work.

New building for the effective benefit of the tenants
After explosive ordnance clearance, comprehensive soil filling on the approx. 30,000 m² construction site and the rapid erection of the building shell of the main hall, the elaborate TGA could be installed and the first machine components assembled by Nordson during the ongoing extension work.
This meant that Nordson's production work could begin immediately after handover. Subsequently, the old production hall, which had been vacated in the meantime, was also equipped with new TGA and handed over to the customer together with the second new hall.
