Building construction West is building a new Fleet Service Centre in Ramstein

Renovation of an existing building

Construction work began in July 2025 and was completed on schedule in mid-November. The work on the existing site posed particular challenges for site logistics and made the delivery of materials more difficult. At the same time, the technical connection to the existing infrastructure had to be carried out in such a way that ongoing operations were not disrupted.

Workshop hall covering around 200 square metres

The single-storey workshop hall had a floor area of around 200 square metres. It was built for the maintenance of transport vehicles and also included an integrated staff area. The various functions were implemented within the scheduled construction period.

Health and safety in accordance with US standards

Another distinctive feature was the health and safety requirements specified by the client in accordance with US standards. In addition to implementing the relevant safety measures, this included ongoing training and awareness-raising for all those involved. The project team aligned the processes with these requirements throughout the entire construction period.

Precise coordination of the construction process

The work on the existing site, the technical integration into the existing infrastructure and the safety requirements demanded precise coordination. Close collaboration with the client facilitated the coordination of the necessary work. Even when faced with unforeseen situations, the team adapted the processes flexibly and completed the project on schedule.

New workshop for the Ramstein site

The Fleet Service Centre in Ramstein provided a new workshop facility for the maintenance of transport vehicles. The integrated staff facilities and the adjacent car park area complemented the site’s functionality.
