A hotel and micro-apartments under one roof

The building comprises a 142-room hotel and 194 micro-apartments. In addition, there is commercial space on the ground floor, bringing together several different types of use within a single building complex. In total, the project offers around 10,500 m² of residential and usable floor space.

Space for hotel, residential and commercial use

With a gross floor area of 17,800 m² and a gross volume of 52,500 m³, the building has a correspondingly substantial construction volume. The space is divided between hotel rooms, micro-flats and commercial buildings, as well as the associated service and technical areas. Beneath the building, an underground car park with 72 parking spaces complements the developments and infrastructure areas.

Precast elements for the limited building site

The limited storage space on the building site influenced the structural implementation of the project. A large part of the concrete structure was therefore constructed using filigree walls and filigree slabs. Balconies and staircases were delivered to the site as precast elements and integrated into the building structure.

Spaces for a variety of uses

The building complex on Frohnhauser Straße in Essen has created spaces for hotel accommodation, micro-living and commercial buildings all in one location. The underground car park with 72 parking spaces provides the necessary parking facilities to complement the various areas of use.
