Hotel and Apartment Complex on Frohnhauser Strasse, Essen

A hotel and apartment complex with underground parking, designed and developed by the “Andreas Deilmann Familienstiftung”, is being built in Essen, not far from the city centre. Once completed, the building will comprise a hotel with 142 rooms, 194 micro-apartments, and retail space on the ground floor. It will also feature an underground car park with 72 parking spaces.

Optimisation thanks to precast elements

Due to the tight schedule and the limited storage facilities on the construction site, the site team elected to construct the majority of the concrete structure as filigree walls and floors. The balconies and stairs were delivered as precast elements; the surfaces of the precast stairs had to be specially protected throughout the construction period.
