New filling plant for industrial gases in Lanken

Filling, storage and administration at a single site

The new filling plant comprises several building sections for the filling, order picking and storage of industrial gases. A two-storey administration building was also constructed.

In addition to the turnkey construction, PORR’s scope of work also included the construction of the Outdoor facilities, including sewerage works. The traffic and operational areas were predominantly asphalted, whilst other areas were finished as paved, concrete or gravel surfaces.

Site development

PORR also undertook the complete development of the site. A fence approximately 665 m long, as well as two automatic gates, demarcates the site from the outside. The construction works were co-ordinated with the client’s subsequent plant and electrical infrastructure works.

Continued collaboration with the Westfalen Group

The project in Lanken marks a continuation of the collaboration between the Westfalen Group and PORR. PORR Building Construction and Transport Route Engineering had already worked together on the project when the company relocated within Münster.

New operational premises at the Lanken site

With the construction of the bottling plant on the previously newly developed site, the structural requirements for bottling, storage, order picking and administration at a single location have been met. The buildings, traffic areas and technical infrastructure form the basis for the site’s use as the Westfalen Group’s new operational base.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
