Construction of new blocks of flats as part of a modern housing development

Living in the new Commerhof quarter

The three three-storey residential blocks comprise a total of 38 flats across a gross floor area of approximately 5,309 m². Two-thirds of the flats will be sold on the open market, whilst one-third is reserved for DGN staff. Some units will be provided as furnished boarding flats for external skilled workers. The buildings are connected via a shared underground car park with 28 parking spaces. Almost all flats feature a terrace, loggia or balcony.

Shell and façade design

The buildings are being constructed using reinforced concrete and masonry. Sand-coloured clinker bricks are being used for the façades, which characterise the external appearance of the three residential blocks. Green roofs are also planned.

PORR’s scope of work comprises earthworks, reinforced concrete and masonry works, as well as roofing, façade and finishing works. Building services and Outdoor facilities are not included in the contract.

Flats for various uses

Some of the flats are intended for DGN staff, thereby complementing the units available on the open market within the project. In addition, there are furnished boarding flats for short-term stays. Local amenities and a nursery are also planned in the vicinity of the new quarter.

Part of the new residential quarter

The three residential buildings will add a variety of housing types to the Commerhof quarter. The combination of privately let flats, staff accommodation and boarding flats creates the spatial conditions for different forms of living in a single location.
