Stump-Franki becomes PORR Spezialtiefbau GmbH

Since 1 January 2024, Stump-Franki special civil engineering company has been operating under the name PORR special civil engineering company.
Continuation under a single brand
Following the change of name, the special civil engineering division within the PORR Group will operate under a single brand. Special civil engineering services and processes will in future be offered under the name PORR Spezialtiefbau GmbH.
The future is rooted in the past
Stump-Franki’s history stretches back many decades. During this time, numerous special civil engineering projects were carried out. The experience gained and technical developments made during this period now form part of the foundation for the services provided by PORR Spezialtiefbau GmbH.

Milestones in our company’s development.

2024
Since the beginning of the year, the special civil engineering company Stump-Franki has been operating on the market as an independent service area under the PORR brand. This strengthens PORR's integrated approach as a full-service provider offering all steps along the value chain of a construction project from a single source.

2019
In April 2019, Stump-Franki Spezialtiefbau GmbH was formed through the merger of Stump Spezialtiefbau and FRANKI Grundbau. Both companies bring many years of experience and expertise to the joint venture and complement each other perfectly.

2013/2017
In 2017, FRANKI Grundbau GmbH & Co. KG, based in Seevetal, will also be taken over by PORR. Extensive investments in the construction of new Atlas equipment and FRANKI pile drivers are decided upon.
The takeover of Stump Spezialtiefbau GmbH by the PORR Group in 2013 strengthens the international orientation.

1990 / 1995
With the expansion of diaphragm wall technology at FRANKI Grundbau (1990) and the integration of Brechtelterra Spezialtiefbau und Umwelttechnik GmbH into Stump Spezialtiefbau GmbH in 1995, the portfolio was expanded to include the construction of more complex construction pits with all trades from a single source.

1985
Introduction of the fully displacement Atlas pile at FRANKI GRUNDBAU.

1969
Stump receives the first general building approval in Germany for the Duplex anchor.

1960
Foundation of Stump Bohr GmbH in Munich as a subsidiary of Stump Bohr AG Zurich.

1932
Foundation of the Frankipfahl company in Düsseldorf.

1908
Edgard Frankignoul invents the Frankipile, a cast-in-place concrete driven pile with an enlarged pile foot.
