Extension of the U5 Europaviertel

A 2,750-metre-long light rail line for underground line 5 will connect the new Europaviertel district on the site of the former main freight station to the city's underground network.

The U5 Europaviertel consortium, consisting of PORR's structural engineering and tunnelling divisions as well as its subsidiary company Stump-Franki special civil engineering, has been awarded the contract for the construction of a 1,160 m long underground section – including the connection to the existing U5 line, construction of an emergency exit at the connection point as well as structural work for the Güterplatz underground station.

We have compiled all videos relating to the construction work on the U5 Europaviertel extension project in Frankfurt am Main here.
