Turnkey construction of three low-rise apartment buildings in the new urban district

Over the past few years, a new, vibrant neighborhood has emerged on the approximately 18-hectare redeveloped barracks site. Its proximity to downtown, the eleven historic buildings in North German brick Gothic style, and the former Wilhelminian-era parade ground - now a new green hub - have made the area an urban planning success. In addition to various types of housing, space was created for offices and service providers, a daycare center, and a creative quarter for art, culture, and the local scene.

The PORR Gütersloh branch was responsible for constructing three elegant apartment buildings with a total of 36 condominiums on Building Site 16. The turnkey project included high-quality finishes, including all electrical installations. For future residents, this meant: modern living standards, short distances, and reliable execution from a single source.

Efficient Collaboration and Lean Construction for Maximum Customer Satisfaction

During the construction phase, PORR’s project and site management teams worked closely with the client’s responsible department and the apartment owners. Transparent coordination ensured that individual adjustments were incorporated early on and seamlessly integrated—a key advantage for buyers who valued personalized design preferences.

Proven lean construction methods were employed to ensure that schedule and quality targets were met. The continuous use of the Last Planner System strengthened collaboration among all parties involved and ensured reliable, structured construction management. For the clients, this resulted in on-time completion and high-quality workmanship.
