PORR Hochbau Region Ost, based in SchmĂślln, is constructing the âAntons Inselâ residential quarter in Leipzig's trendy Reudnitz district for PROPOS Projektentwicklung. A total of 102 modern residential units with a total living space of 6,395 m² are being built on KippenbergstraĂe, spread across a residential building and an apartment building. The two new buildings are connected by a spacious, green inner courtyard â an oasis of well-being in the middle of the city.

Tradition meets modernity: PORR realizes âAnton's Islandâ in Leipzig
Reudnitz became a district of Leipzig in 1889 and was long a center of the publishing and printing industry. Well-known companies shaped the area, including the legendary Insel Verlag publishing house under Anton Kippenberg. In his honor, the new residential quarter is named âAntons Inselâ â a tribute to the famous publisher and an allusion to the idyllic living concept.
PORR is realizing the residential project on a 6,052 m² plot of land. The stylish design is based on the apartment buildings from the Wilhelminian era, which still characterize the image of KippenbergstraĂe today. Both new buildings will be constructed in solid construction as Efficiency House 55. All apartments open onto balconies or terraces facing the peaceful inner courtyard.
Modern living quality with a well-thought-out concept
The apartment building with five full floors and a penthouse floor connects directly to the historic perimeter block development. It will house 49 elegant apartments with one to four rooms. Behind it, a four-story apartment building with a penthouse floor is being built, offering 53 exclusive 1- to 3-room apartments, which can be furnished on request. Access is via a glass pergola. Thanks to an underground car park with 38 parking spaces and 240 bicycle parking spaces, there is room in the inner courtyard for relaxation and neighborly encounters.

Following the successful âQuartier Cospudenâ and âNeue Kohlgärtenâ projects, âAntons Inselâ is already the third construction project that PORR is realizing for PROPOS in Leipzig.
