A shared premises for the Employment Agency, the Job Centre and the Youth Employment Agency has been built in the Burgfelde industrial estate in Bad Segeberg. PORR Building Construction Region Nord, acting as the main contractor, constructed the four-storey office building on a site measuring approximately 6,360 m². The client was HBG Bauträger GmbH from Oldenburg, whilst the design was carried out by the architectural practice van Döllen, also based there. The new building comprises approximately 3,500 m² of usable floor space.

Three organisations, one shared location
A building for advisory and administrative services
The building brings together the advisory, administrative and support services of the three organisations at a single location. A total of 135 offices, consultation rooms and functional spaces are available for the more than 100 staff members. A defining feature of the new building is its U-shaped floor plan with a flat roof.
Part of the development in the Burgfelde industrial estate
The new building complements the existing development in the Burgfelde industrial estate and creates space for shared use by the three organisations. At the same time, parts of the existing tree population on the site were preserved and protected during the foundation work.
Construction and building fit-out
The building was constructed on a flat foundation slab. The external walls consist of sand-lime brickwork with an external thermal insulation composite system. Plasterboard constructions were used for the non-load-bearing internal walls. The façade design combines white-plastered surfaces with areas clad in clinker brick slips. This allows the building to blend into the surroundings of the industrial estate.
From planning to handover
The collaboration between HBG Bauträger GmbH and PORR began as early as the detailed planning stage. Technical issues were coordinated at an early stage and further refined during the construction phase.
A shared location for public services
The new building brings together various advisory and administrative services in a single location. The project comprises office, advisory and functional spaces, as well as the associated infrastructure, and supports the further development of the site in the Burgfelde industrial estate in Bad Segeberg.
