Erpho Bogen, Münster

Following the relocation of Winkhaus, a manufacturer of locking systems, to an industrial estate, the building construction Münster branch was awarded the contract to construct a turnkey residential building, including underground car park and outdoor facilities, at the former site close to the city centre in Münster.

Modern living.

More than 200 flats bring new life to the 14,200 m2 area close to the city centre. Only two km from Prinzipalmarkt, the site borders the ring road to the north and the railway track to Rheine to the east. Compliance with noise protection requirements is supported, among other things, by the arrangement of the buildings on the site. A central and modern residential development for different target groups was created.

From company premises to residential area.

Student flats, flats for senior citizens, town houses for families and barrier-free condominiums were built, as well as day care centres, commercial buildings and practice areas.

Sustainable living.

The buildings are three to four storeys high. The Wohnen im Turm is a seven-storey corner building. The individual houses have a central underground garage, storage rooms and central building services. District heating supplies the buildings. Since the scope of the contract also includes the implementation planning, it was possible to partially redesign the in-situ concrete components into filigree ceilings and walls. The façade consists mainly of clinker facing masonry as an outer shell of double-shell masonry with core insulation without an air layer.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
