The new building was constructed on a 3,714 m² site on Stickgraser Allee, on the corner of Syker Straße, and was designed specifically to meet the requirements of the future occupier. Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring that costs and deadlines were strictly adhered to. The use of optimised processes based on Lean Construction methods ensured transparent project management, clear communication channels as well as resource- and time-optimised implementation.

The administration building offers flexible usage options for around 100 employees across a net floor area of approximately 1,700 m². The compact, square floor plan enables short distances and a high degree of adaptability to different working styles. The building is designed for 58 flexible workstations and thus supports modern, hybrid working models in which on-site and home office activities can be flexibly combined. The building’s structural design already allows for the addition of one further storey.

DGNB Gold Standard as a sustainability seal

A key objective of the project is DGNB Gold certification. The building has therefore been planned and constructed in accordance with high ecological, economic and socio-cultural standards. Heating and cooling are provided by a heat pump in combination with ceiling and underfloor heating. A photovoltaic system with storage ensures on-site electricity generation, supplemented by an extensive charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and bicycles. The building thus meets high standards of energy efficiency and sustainable operation.

Long-standing client

The project in Delmenhorst is part of a long-standing, proven collaboration between the architectural firm van Döllen, HBG Bauträger GmbH and PORR building construction region Nord. Several administrative and extension buildings have already been realised jointly, as well as projects for job centres and employment agencies in Bad Segeberg and Ahrensburg. The construction of the new EWE administration building once again confirmed the successful partnership and PORR’s expertise in the implementation of challenging, sustainable building projects from a single source.
