New location for the utility company EWE AG

Workspaces for various uses

With a net floor area of around 1,700 m², the building provides workspaces for around 100 staff members. There are plans for 58 flexible workstations that can be used for a combination of on-site and remote working. The structural design also allows for the possibility of adding a further storey at a later date.

Building services and DGNB certification

Heating and cooling are provided by a heat pump in conjunction with ceiling and underfloor heating. The building concept also includes a photovoltaic system with storage, as well as charging points for electric vehicles and bicycles. The new building has been awarded DGNB Gold certification.

From plot to new administrative headquarters

The new building was constructed on a plot of approximately 3,700 m² on Stickgraser Allee. PORR undertook the turnkey construction, including the Outdoor facilities. Lean Construction was utilised for the planning and coordination of the construction processes. During the construction phase, the existing trees along the perimeter of the plot were also protected in accordance with the project-specific guidelines.

Continuation of a shared project history

The administrative building continues the collaboration between HBG Bauträger GmbH, the architectural practice van Döllen and PORR building construction Region Nord. Previously, this consortium had already delivered administrative and extension buildings for job centres and employment agencies in Bad Segeberg and Ahrensburg

Space for different ways of working

The new building at the Delmenhorst site creates the spatial conditions for shared use by around 100 EWE employees. Flexible workstations enable different ways of using the office space, whilst the structurally planned provision for future extension offers the possibility of adding a further storey to the building should space requirements change in the future.
