PORR Hochbau Region Nord acted as general contractor for HBG Bauträger GmbH, constructing a modern administration building in accordance with the DGNB Gold Standard for sustainable construction. The building is leased by the utility company EWE AG. In addition to the administrative building, the scope of services also included the complete construction of the outdoor facilities, including parking spaces, ancillary buildings, and all earthworks. The project thus offers not only the highest level of sustainability, but also a comprehensive solution from a single source.

New location for the utility company EWE AG
The plot size for the new administration building in Delmenhorst, located on Stickgraser Allee, at the corner of Syker Straße, is 3,714 m2. For the customer, adherence to costs and deadlines was particularly important in this project. The team understood this need and impressed with an all-inclusive package. In order to guarantee tailor-made construction services within the agreed time and cost budget, the construction work was carried out on the basis of optimized processes according to LEAN Construction methods. This approach enabled smooth project coordination and transparent communication channels in order to clearly define and analyze work steps in advance. This optimized the project implementation in terms of resources and time.
DGNB Gold Standard as a seal of sustainability
As proof of sustainability, the new building for the approximately 100 employees working in Delmenhorst is to achieve the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) certificate with Gold status. As a long-standing, experienced DGNB member, PORR advised and accompanied the client on the way to obtaining certification. The installation of a heat pump, photovoltaic system with storage, and electric charging stations underscores the high standards of sustainability. The PV system was supplied and installed directly by the tenant.

The collaboration between the client and Hochbau Region Nord is based on trust and proven experience. PORR has already successfully completed several projects: a modern administration building for the job center and employment agency in Bad Segeberg, an extension for the local job center in Ahrensburg, and a new building for the employment agency in Schleswig. These projects demonstrate how we work together to create efficient solutions that meet our customers' requirements.
