A total of 173 one- to five-bedroom flats have been built on a site covering approximately 13,400 m². Of these, 89 are socially-housed flats and 87 are designed to be accessible. The quarter therefore comprises a variety of flat sizes and layouts within a single building complex. The residential use is complemented by a nursery with 16 places, 69 underground car park spaces and 412 bicycle parking spaces.

Open spaces and building standards

The new development was constructed in accordance with the requirements of GEG 2020. The building concept also includes a green roof and a landscaped courtyard with a playground. The open spaces and communal areas complement the diverse range of flats and the nursery within the project.

From construction project to residential use

PORR building construction region Ost was responsible for the implementation as the main contractor. Upon completion of the works, the building was handed over by QUARTERBACK Immobilien to WBM Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin-Mitte.

The first inspections were able to begin even before the contractually agreed completion date. The shell was also handed over ahead of the originally scheduled date. This allows the actual project milestones to be identified without inferring any general promises regarding quality or performance.

Diverse uses in a single location

Quarter 315 brings together residential accommodation, a nursery, parking spaces and communal outdoor areas on a single site. The mix of privately funded, publicly subsidised flats as well as accessible flats creates the structural conditions to meet diverse housing needs within a single building complex.
