In a central location, PORR erected the refined shell of the Kress brand fashion centre (MMC) with 6000 m² of retail space in Soest, partly on a turnkey basis. The staggered storey contains both flats and office space.
The scarce space at this inner-city pit required a logistical masterstroke. The building essentially covers the entire site, which required precise planning. Traffic was controlled during delivery by large trucks with a construction site traffic light that keeps individual traffic out of the inner city area. In order for the large crane, which barely fits through the narrow inner city streets, to be assembled, a time slot had to be found between the well-known Soest inner city fair and the Christmas market.

A real eye-catcher are the flat roof areas, which are designed as warm roofs with extensive and partly intensive green roofs. The façades will be partly constructed as a natural stone façade or as a thermal insulation composite system with a surface of mineral scratch plaster.
