As general contractor for Munich Hotel Invest GmbH, PORR constructed a Super 8 hotel with 168 fully air-conditioned 18m2 non-smoking rooms together with underground parking spaces. The building contains amenities such as a coffee shop in co-operation with Munich delicatessen and coffee specialist Dallmayr, a breakfast buffet with “live cooking”, free high-speed W-LAN, 40-inch smart TVs, box-spring beds, underfloor heating in all bathrooms, plus SmartKeys allowing check-in and check-out to be completed on your smartphone in just a few minutes.

The Super 8 hotel brand‘s first flagship hotel in Europe.

The American Wyndham Group has more than 20 brands in its worldwide portfolio including a total of 9,000 hotels, as well as holiday homes and holiday clubs. The construction of the Super 8 budget hotel at Landsberger Strasse 270 in Munich’s Laim district marked the company’s first venture into the European market. And it’s not likely to be the last of its kind: the hotel group’s range of services is principally aimed at the middle classes who enjoy travelling, and who are looking for affordable, easily-accessible hotels in popular travel destinations.
