THE FLAG Senior Living, Dülmen

Demographic trends are increasingly felt in the housing market. Living concepts are increasingly catering to the diverse requirements of housing suitable for the elderly. This is now happening in the centre of Dülmen, where a three-storey building containing 50 apartments for seniors is under construction. PORR was commissioned by THE FLAG Senior Living to provide the turnkey realisation of the project.

The apartments range from 29 to 73m² in size and have standard or recessed balconies. The services also include execution planning.

Precise coordination for smooth construction processes
The foundations of the building posed a particular challenge due to the difficult ground conditions. The non-load-bearing soil layers were bridged with a total of 93 concrete piles to ensure sufficient load-bearing capacity. Another hurdle was the overbuilding of an existing telecoms line. This supplies the southern Münsterland region and required particular care during the construction work.

THE FLAG Dülmen's services are aimed at senior citizens who wish to live independently but want comfort and support in their everyday lives. They can take advantage of a wide range of additional services: These include food and beverage services, cleaning and laundry services as well as beauty treatments. In the coming years, the developer and operator THE FLAG would like to further promote the topic of "senior living". PORR Hochbau West is also realising 75 senior-friendly flats with a view of the Rhine in Linz am Rhein on behalf of THE FLAG.

 

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
