"Am Papierbach" in Landsberg am Lech: between cycle planning and art project

/ Building construction / News / Press Release

Where paper and later ploughs were once manufactured, an urban quarter for up to 1,500 people has been under construction since 2021. At the end of 2020, PORR Hochbau Region Süd was awarded the contract by project developer ehret + klein for the turnkey realisation of two of the total of 11 construction phases. The implementation planning for architecture and building services was carried out by PORR's sister company pde Integrale Planung GmbH.

A lot has happened since the completion of the shell a year ago. The construction site is currently undergoing interior finishing work. Precise cycle planning and regular coordination between all trades ensure efficient work processes. The application of the lean method also ensures a high degree of transparency, which is particularly important to the client.

The area of the future city quarter "Am Papierbach" already has a lot to offer. As part of the "Art on the Building Fence" campaign, the pupils of the Ignaz Kögler Grammar School have fully unleashed their creativity and colourfully designed the outside of the building site. Beyond the art action, the ground of the future Kulturhaus am Lech (B1), the Europaplatz 1.0, will continue to be creatively designed and used until its official completion.

A great action - we are pleased to be able to help shape this already lively quarter.
