Living on the banks of the Havel

The Havelufer quarter combines different types of housing with complementary facilities and communal areas. The buildings constructed by PORR comprise a mix of one- to four-room flats and are integrated into the overall development of the quarter. In addition to the residential buildings, the quarter concept includes open spaces and communal areas.

Planning to meet the site’s requirements

Together with BRH Generalplaner GmbH, PORR developed its own planning design for the two building plots. As part of this, the originally planned pergola was positioned on the south side of the building. Furthermore, a basement level was incorporated into the plans. The resulting spaces complement the building’s access and communal areas.

Diverse requirements in residential construction

The design takes into account a range of flat sizes as well as barrier-free access. Energy efficiency requirements and the integration of the buildings into the existing infrastructure were also integral parts of the project planning. PORR undertook the turnkey construction of the two building plots and implemented the project in collaboration with BRH Generalplaner GmbH.

Continued collaboration with HOWOGE

The Havelufer quarter forms part of the collaboration between PORR and HOWOGE on various housing projects. With construction sites WA2 and WA4, two further areas within the quarter have been developed.

A building block in the development of the Havelufer quarter

With the completion of building plots WA2 and WA4, further areas of the Havelufer quarter have been put to permanent residential use. The buildings provide the structural framework for a variety of flat sizes within a single quarter and complement the phased development of the site on the banks of the Havel.
