PORR’s laboratory in Germany offers testing, analysis and consultancy services in the fields of construction and environmental engineering. It is an independent, accredited testing laboratory that works for both internal and external clients.

The range of services includes the testing and assessment of building materials, building material mixtures, soils, aggregates as well as environmental samples. Tests are carried out in accordance with recognised testing methods as well as applicable standards and regulations.

In addition, consultancy services are offered on the properties of building materials, material selection, laboratory testing and structural engineering issues. The results of the tests and analyses can be incorporated into planning, construction and quality assurance processes.

  • Asphalt Technology Consulting: Expert support for the use of asphalt in various construction projects.
  • Paving of Thin Asphalt Surface Courses Using the Hot Paving Method (EÜ-V (DSH-V)): Optimization of asphalt surface courses for durable road pavements.
  • Testing of asphalt mixtures: Qualitative analysis of key parameters such as binder content, gradation, void content, bulk density, water sensitivity, rutting resistance, and fatigue and stiffness behavior.
  • Consulting on mixture composition and asphalt processing: Technical support for optimizing asphalt mixtures and their processing.
  • Factory Production Control (FPC): Ensuring quality through continuous monitoring of the mixing plants.
  • Concrete technology consulting: Support for the application and optimization of concrete in construction projects.
  • Fresh and hardened concrete testing: Ensuring compliance with DIN EN 206 and DIN 1045-2.
  • Development and monitoring of concrete mix designs: Creation and control of optimal concrete mixtures.
  • Consulting on concrete composition, production, and processing: Technical support throughout the entire concrete production process.
  • Testing, monitoring, and certification: Recognized testing and quality assurance in the fields of building construction, specialized civil engineering, civil engineering, and structural engineering. (E-testing laboratory)
  • Quality assurance during installation: Monitoring and instruction for construction projects with increased requirements. (ÜK 2/3 monitoring and instruction)
  • Tests for soil suitability and quality: Analysis and improvement of soils for road construction. (Testing laboratory RAP Stra 15: Specialty A)
  • Tests on base courses: Quality assurance for base courses stabilized with cement or lime. (Testing laboratory RAP Stra 15: Specialty H)
  • EBV tests: Promotion of the circular economy and protection of soil and groundwater through testing in accordance with the Substitute Construction Materials Ordinance.
  • Tests on contaminated sites: Investigation of the effects of contaminated sites on soil and groundwater.
  • Soil mechanics investigations: Suitability tests for building sites and materials in earthworks.
  • Quality assurance of unbound base courses: Monitoring and documentation of comprehensive compaction control (FDVK).
