Urban living in harmony with environmental and climate protection

The Q47 sets standards in sustainable living and climate adaptation, combining modern living comfort with forward-looking environmental protection measures. The extensive green roof, as well as new trees and hedges, are at the heart of the climate concept. These green oases improve the microclimate and air quality and act as rainwater reservoirs. The buildings have two to four full storeys and are being built as KfW Efficiency House 55.

Teamwork between various PORR business areas ensures quality and deadlines

On construction site 1, the windows are already being installed and the flat roofs are being constructed. On construction sites 2 and 3, the shell construction work is in full swing, while on construction site 4, the construction pit is being built and on construction site 5, the stored soil is being strengthened. PORR project manager Lisa Beckmann is satisfied: ‘Each construction site is in a different construction phase, so the coordination effort for the provision of construction site personnel, materials, as well as equipment is extremely high. Our construction site team was able to minimise the additional effort required due to various obstacles, such as contaminated soil and a bomb find.’

Various PORR departments are contributing to the success of this major project. PORR special civil engineering is installing micro piles in the area of underground car parks that are not overbuilt; PORR special civil engineering planning took over the static calculation of the micro pile uplift protection; the technical office of PORR building construction in Münster created the planning of WU constructions and crane foundations. Last, but not least, CMG Baulogistik was responsible for providing the equipment.
