Foundation work on the âWedauer Gardensâ is proceeding according to plan despite winter conditions.

Work on the âWedauer GĂ€rtenâ housing project in the new 6-Seen-Wedau district is progressing well despite difficult weather conditions. PORR building construction region West, MĂŒnster branch, is thus continuing its successful cooperation with VIVAWEST.
Two construction cranes have already been fully assembled as well as all the site equipment has been set up.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, two construction cranes have now been fully erected as well as all the site facilities have been set up. This means that the logistical requirements are in place to move quickly into the shell construction phase once the foundation work has been completed.
The PORR building construction West team is currently focusing on the formwork, reinforcement and concreting of the floor slabs for the basement. This foundation work forms the basis for the further structural work on the five separate buildings and is a key milestone in the project schedule. The winter conditions of the past few weeks, with snow, continuous rain, frost and slippery conditions in places, led to temporary restrictions on the construction site. Nevertheless, the work was able to continue steadily thanks to flexible processes and careful planning.
A quarter with a garden city character
In the âNeue Gartenstadtâ sub-district, VIVAWEST is building 64 flats in five multi-storey residential buildings with basements, one of which has eight townhouses, on an area of more than 15,600 square metres. The buildings will be accessed via a shared underground car park with 84 parking spaces.
The buildings are being constructed using reinforced concrete and masonry, with the façades being clad in high-quality ceramic brick slips. The energy concept meets the GEG standard, supported by green roofs, photovoltaic modules and a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
