In transport route engineering

Mastic asphalt.

Mastic asphalt has established itself over decades as a proven, extremely resilient and environmentally friendly product. The reusable construction material consists of sand, chippings, filler and bitumen and is free from environmentally harmful components. Thanks to the high bitumen content, mastic asphalt is self-compacting and void-free, which further emphasises its durability and sustainability.

Areas of application for this technology include

  • Waterproofing on bridges, car park decks and green roofs as a protective layer.

  • as a liquid-resistant surface in facilities for handling substances hazardous to water, e.g. in agriculture (silos).

  • particularly durable surface layers in road construction.

  • the special design of garden and landscape areas.

  • heavy-duty haulage and access ramps.
