In a prominent location between the UNESCO World Heritage Park Babelsberg and Potsdam's historic old town, QUARTERBACK Immobilien will begin construction in August 2025 on a modern residential complex with five storeys, 214 flats and an underground car park with 59 parking spaces. The Dresden office of Hochbau Region Ost will act as general contractor for the project, which is scheduled to take 27 months to complete. PORR Spezialtiefbau is responsible for the deep foundations with around 300 bored piles, including work and assembly planning.

Living in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Future residents of Humboldtringgärten will enjoy the immediate proximity to Babelsberg Landscape Park and can stroll along the banks of the Havel River to the city centre. Schools, doctors' surgeries and shopping facilities are within easy walking distance.
The residential complex offers a total usable area of 11,350 square metres. The one- to four-room flats have 20 to 110 square metres of living space and each have a balcony or terrace. Ideal for enjoying the view of the city, the Havel landscape or the green space in the inner courtyard.
Sustainable and economical construction go hand in hand
As with all QUARTERBACK Immobilien properties, sustainability is a key consideration. The project developer has specified the KfW Efficiency House 55 standard for Humboldtringgärten and is aiming for DGNB certification. The successful collaboration on previous projects in Dresden, Berlin-Lichtenberg and Norderstedt forms the basis for cost-efficient implementation.
‘The partnership with QUARTERBACK, which has grown over many years, is based on strong mutual trust,’ says Andreas Kimling, Regional Manager for Building Construction East. ‘We are delighted to have been commissioned again as general contractor. Together, we are demonstrating that sustainable, high-quality living space is economically feasible and meets the highest quality standards. This balance between ecology and economy embodies the holistic approach that PORR stands for.’
