A strong foundation: a visit to the Lindorf asphalt mixing plant

/ Transport route engineering / News

On 21 July 2025, a group of 21 participants in the advanced training course ‘Bachelor Professional in Road Operations Management’ visited the PORR asphalt mixing plant in Lindorf. The aim of the visit was to supplement the theoretical knowledge acquired so far with practical impressions.

Since 2025, DEULA BW gGmbH has been offering a preparatory course for the Bachelor Professional in Road Operations Management exam. This course is aimed at individuals who already work in the management of a municipal building yard, a road maintenance depot or a building authority – or who aspire to such a position.

As part of a comprehensive tour of the PORR asphalt mixing plant, participants in the first seminar gained exciting insights into the processes involved in asphalt production. After an introductory presentation, small groups were formed to experience the processes first-hand on site, in and around the mixing plant.

A special focus was placed on our virtually CO₂-neutral asphalt production, which makes an important contribution to the sustainable development of infrastructure. The direct exchange with our experts as well as the opportunity to experience the production processes on site provided the participants with valuable practical experience – an important building block for their future work in public road construction.

Events like this not only provide insights into our work, but also promote dialogue with future partners and clients. We are delighted with the high level of interest and positive feedback.
