Three summer festivals – one common goal: solidarity and appreciation
/ News
This year, our summer parties were once again all about togetherness, appreciation and team spirit. Three locations, three very different events – yet one shared feeling: we are a strong team.
Wind and waves couldn't dampen the mood: at the ‘Come Together’ event at the beach bar in Nieuwpoort, our colleagues from Belgium enjoyed relaxed conversations, delicious cocktails and the laid-back atmosphere with a sea view. While the little ones played in the sand, there was laughter, chatter and new contacts made at the beach bar.
In the evening, the festivities continued with a barbecue at a nearby hotel – a culinary highlight that left nothing to be desired. The Belgian team, characterised by its cultural diversity, used the party as an opportunity to get to know each other better and grow closer as a team. It was a valuable opportunity for new colleagues in particular to integrate. The consistently positive feedback shows that the event was a complete success – in line with the spirit of team building.
Germany: DIY deluxe at Gelterswoog
PORR Government Services GmbH celebrated its summer party in the middle of the Palatinate Forest, at the barbecue hut at Gelterswoog, with almost 50 employees and their families in attendance. A lovingly prepared salad and cake buffet, a cocktail bar with Palatinate Dubbe glasses in PORR design, slush ice for the children and a wide range of barbecue options ensured a great atmosphere.
Miniature golf, an outdoor pool and a playground on site made the party particularly family-friendly. Accompanied by chill-out music and sunshine, everyone laughed, celebrated and congratulated our colleague Kai on his milestone birthday – with gifts from the management and his colleagues. The family atmosphere and good camaraderie were particularly praised.
Italy: Culture meets collegiality on Lake Garda
A very special summer party took place in Italy: the Government Services team in Italy visited ‘Il Vittoriale degli Italiani’ – an impressive ensemble of buildings, gardens and history created by the poet Gabriele d'Annunzio. After a guided tour of the park and a joint lunch featuring regional specialities, the group continued on to visit the artist's house.
Thirty participants enjoyed a day full of cultural impressions and valuable encounters. The party not only offered exciting insights into Italian history, but also the opportunity to exchange ideas and create shared memories. There was a great desire to repeat the event – a sign of its success.
Whether on the beach, in the forest or by the lake – our summer parties show how important encounters, exchanges and shared experiences are. They strengthen cohesion, promote togetherness and are an expression of our appreciation for all employees.
