This year, the PORR Group in Vienna once again welcomed students from the dual civil engineering programme at Hochschule 21 in Buxtehude near Hamburg. The excursion offered the aspiring civil engineers exciting insights into the international world of PORR and impressively demonstrated how modern technologies and innovative ideas are implemented in the construction industry.
The day began with an interactive workshop on sustainable construction. Participants gained practical insight into how PORR implements sustainability in its projects. In the afternoon, they visited the LeopoldQuartier construction site, one of PORR’s flagship sustainability projects. An exclusive tour gave students a first-hand look at how PORR combines a passion for construction with forward thinking.
As a long-standing practical partner of Hochschule 21, PORR building construction Region Nord maintains a close and trusting relationship with the university. The excursion to Vienna once again highlighted the importance of practical training and international perspectives for a successful career start.
