With the Design & Engineering service area, we accompany all steps from planning to realisation. Thepde Integrale Planung GmbHas an independent subsidiary of the PORR Group, combines planning expertise with experience from the operational construction sector. We have been applying innovative methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Lean Management in planning, costing and coordination for years. In this way, we create the best conditions for the efficient realisation and sustainable use of your building.
Our services focus on combining attractive design and structural requirements within the defined quality, time and cost framework of our customers. On the one hand, the requirements for load-bearing capacity as well as building and safety regulations must be met - on the other hand, construction projects should be visually appealing and blend harmoniously into their surroundings. In order to combine both aspects, PORR relies on innovative methods in the planning and construction process and always considers projects holistically from planning to completion.
The use and ongoing development of modern technologies such as BIM and Lean Management form the basis for sustainable project success, efficient work and maximum transparency. The basis for the safe and economical execution of construction projects are the architectural (preliminary) designs as well as approval and general planning.
In order to realise designs as faithfully as possible, the experts from our affiliate pde Integrale Planung work closely with our experienced construction teams and all trades involved throughout all planning phases.
Continuous project optimisation, the interdisciplinary composition of the planning teams as well as the use of model-oriented 5D working methods in the context of BIM enable a holistic view of the projects. The classic 3D building model is supplemented by the additional dimensions of time and costs. The result is sustainable and economical solutions that focus on individual customer requirements. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital and integrative approach to the planning and execution of projects in the construction industry.
The use of BIM optimises the entire process chain within planning as well as construction and ensures greater transparency, reliability and efficiency. This significantly improves collaboration between all parties involved in the construction process, from planning to final acceptance.
As a pioneer in the field of BIM, we set standards and offer our customers innovative and effective solutions for their construction projects. At the heart of digitalisation is the building data model, which combines and visualises all building data within a digital model. The data forms the basis for bringing together experts from all disciplines in a team in order to accurately map the entire life cycle of a building.
BIM is therefore not only used in planning and costing. It also brings benefits in construction, interior construction, marketing the property as well as in subsequent facility management. This means that almost all phases of the project life cycle can be considered holistically.

During the planning phase of a construction project, numerous regulations and requirements must be taken into account, particularly with regard to the planned use of the building and the applicable fire protection regulations.
Effective fire protection is a decisive factor in any construction planning and therefore requires a comprehensive fire protection concept. Priority is therefore given to early fire protection planning.
Direct cooperation between the client and the pde Integrale Planung team means that fire protection-related issues are recognised and taken into account at an early stage of the building planning process. As part of the planning process, the fire protection concept is coordinated with the relevant approval authorities and the fire brigade. This considerably simplifies approval processes. We support you right from the start of the project and take care of the fire protection documentation required for the building permit.

The construction industry bears a great responsibility for sustainable construction. We are concerned with the sustainability of construction projects right from the start. Our common goal is to design the planning, construction and operation of buildings in such a way that they are ecologically and economically sustainable throughout their entire life cycle.
Building certification systems, which are recognised as a seal of quality for sustainable construction, are an important part of this.
Our services are diverse: we optimise projects by reviewing existing concepts in terms of their sustainability performance and suggesting alternative approaches to our clients. We also take care of building physics calculations and handle the required certifications. Carbon management, life cycle assessments and sustainability assessments in accordance with the EU taxonomy round off our range of services.
At PORR, we plan in accordance with recognised building guidelines and proactively participate in the further development of leading building certification systems such as LEED or BREEAM. In close cooperation, we plan and build according to the requirements and wishes of our customers and accompany them all the way to the certified building.

General planning means pursuing an interdisciplinary approach in which all planning steps are considered interdependently and over the entire life cycle of a building.
The specialist areas of architecture, building physics, structural engineering, technical building equipment (TBE), building preparation as well as fire protection are seamlessly interlinked and work together to find an economical, sustainable and always transparent solution for our clients.
The centrepiece of our work is a digital building model. Working with Building Information Modelling (BIM) is standard practice for all parties involved in general planning. This integrative method, which has been used within PORR for several years and is constantly being developed further, helps to avoid planning errors and calculate costs accurately.
It also increases transparency for our clients: by integrating it into all planning steps, the three-dimensional creation of the property can be followed virtually on the digital model. The result: safe and economical in every construction phase.

Lean processes from planning to completion: We use Lean Management methods in every phase of construction for continuous improvement. All work steps in the construction project are clearly defined and analysed in advance.
In this way, we can optimise the necessary resources and time requirements, promote communication between the respective planning and construction teams, map processes transparently and significantly reduce delays in the flow of information.
